Bontoc, Southern Leyte – LGU Bontoc employees continued to strengthen their digital competencies on the second day of the Capacity Building on the Management of the LGU Bontoc Website, held on April 30, 2026, at the Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) Bontoc Campus.
The activity is part of the B.O.N.T.O.C. Program—Building Optimized Networked Technology for Organized Communities—which aims to equip local government personnel with the necessary knowledge and technical skills to effectively manage and sustain the municipality’s official website.
During the session, participants were immersed in topics such as domain hosting, website development, and compliance with government website standards. Hands-on exercises were conducted at Computer Laboratory 3 of the Information Technology Building, allowing employees to apply what they learned in real-time.
The training supports the ongoing Development of the LGU Bontoc Website, a key initiative that seeks to enhance transparency, improve access to public information, and modernize service delivery through digital platforms.
LGU employees emphasized that the second day of training marks continued progress in building a more responsive and technology-driven local government, ensuring that employees are well-equipped to manage online systems that serve the needs of the community.
